Manufacturing Associate I

Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Manufacturing Associate will perform various activities in the production of tangential flow filtration cassettes. The role requires strong technical knowledge and problem‑solving skills, the ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately, and the capacity to learn complex tasks quickly and complete them in a timely manner. The associate must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed, work in a cleanroom environment, and follow GMP/ISO/document‑controlled processes. Essential Duties Assembly of cassette components – follow SOPs to assemble cassettes, operate trimming equipment, assemble components into fixtures, perform visual inspections, complete process documentation, and maintain clean, functional tooling. Encapsulation of components – operate encapsulation equipment, mix and apply components according to SOPs, handle chemicals safely, and document the process. Single‑use device and hardware assembly – assemble and visually inspect products, read and follow drawings and Bill of Materials, maintain clean controlled environment, and complete data entry as required. Die cutting – cut cassette components with process equipment, inspect materials and cut components, use correct tooling, document batch records, and maintain tooling cleanliness. Final inspection and packaging – visually inspect tested products, package cassettes in a controlled environment, place finished assemblies into boxes, and complete required documentation. Maintain cleanliness of workspace and tooling, interface with QA and production personnel to maintain product flow and identify non‑conforming items, meet target goals, assist in training new hires, and work overtime as needed. Other Functions Help with training new hires on test methods and procedures. Participate in long‑term goal setting with management. Work overtime, including weekends, as required. Qualifications High School education or equivalent. Computer literate, preferably with MS Office and SAP experience. Ability to work independently after training, with high attention to detail and excellent organizational and communication skills. Resourceful, self‑motivated, able to work efficiently in an ISO‑9001 quality system. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs routinely.
