Key Responsibilities

• Administer comprehensive physical therapy treatments, including but not limited to, manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and patient education.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and specific orthopedic conditions.
• Guide and assist patients through functional activities such as bed mobility, gait training, and balance training to enhance their recovery process.
• Monitor patient progress before, during, and after therapy sessions, documenting all relevant observations and reporting findings to supervising physical therapists.
• Utilize various therapeutic strategies including massage, stretching, and proprioceptive techniques tailored to the individual needs of patients.
• Educate patients and their families about self-management techniques and exercises to continue after discharge.
• Participate in peer mentorship opportunities to train and support junior staff in clinical skills and best practices.
• Carry out other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the clinic.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
• Must possess a valid California Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a clinical setting focusing on orthopedic physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
