COMPENSATION & EARNINGS

  • Base Salary: $75,000-$85,000 per annum
  • 1st Year Total On-Target Earnings (OTE): Eligible for Leyton's uncapped sales commission plan based on individual sales performance. Compensation includes a base salary of $75,000–$85,000 with on-target earnings (OTE) of approximately $125,000 . Actual commission is uncapped and performance-based; the above reflects typical on-target earnings and is not a guarantee.

What You’ll Do

As a Business Development Executive (BDE)/Account Executive, you will drive new business growth by building relationships with C-level executives, founders, and key decision-makers across a diverse range of industries. Working closely with our consulting, leadership, and business development teams, you will identify opportunities, lead strategic sales conversations, and help organizations unlock innovation funding and tax incentive solutions that accelerate their growth.

You will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from prospecting and building pipeline to engaging senior decision-makers and closing complex advisory and consulting engagements.

This is a high-impact, hunter-oriented role ideal for individuals with strong consultative sales experience and a passion for financial services, tax advisory, or complex B2B solution selling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities through market research, networking, and strategic outreach
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline while nurturing relationships with key stakeholders
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and meeting decision-makers to closing deals and onboarding
  • Develop and present tailored value propositions that address client challenges and deliver measurable results
  • Collaborate with consultants, internal teams, and partners to drive referrals and maximize client impact
  • Train and coach the inside sales team to generate qualified leads aligned with your strategy
  • Support the development and execution of regional go-to-market strategies
  • Meet and exceed monthly KPIs and annual revenue targets
  • Manage existing client accounts with a focus on retention and expansion

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience selling Tax Credits, tax advisory, and State and Local Tax (SALT) solutions to U.S. companies is considered a strong asset.
  • Quota-achieving sales experience in a closing role
  • Consultative selling skills, with the ability to tailor solutions to client needs
  • High-volume outreach expertise with a strategic prospecting approach
  • Ability to engage C-level executives and key stakeholders with confidence and credibility
  • Outstanding communication and persuasion skills, with strong pitching and negotiating ability
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and goal-oriented with strong organizational skills

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience selling services to mid- and high-market clients
  • Experience working with or selling for a management consulting firm is a strong asset
  • Strong interest in finance, accounting, tax advisory, or innovation-focused advisory services
  • Background in finance, innovation, or operations is an advantage
  • Highly self-motivated, independent, and results-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset

Nice-to-Haves

  • Sales or business certifications (e.g., from recognized business schools) are an advantage
  • Experience in management consulting, financial advisory, or professional services environments
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce and sales engagement platforms (e.g., SalesLoft)
  • Formal training in structured sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger, SPIN)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Financing, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field is mandatory .

What We Offer

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $75,000-$85,000 per annum plus , Commission: Up to $55,000 .
  • 1st Year Total On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this role: $125,000 per annum (on an average).
