About the Role
The Company is seeking an AVP Financial Reporting to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of accounting, finance, and analytical procedures within the global office, with a focus on the regular consolidation and reporting functions of the life segment. This role involves close collaboration with local market and regional finance and actuarial teams, as well as the corporate accounting and finance team, to assess financial performance, compile key financial disclosure data, and ensure compliance with internal and external reporting standards. The AVP will also lead the coordination of period-end financial reporting packages, review financial schedules for accuracy and integrity, and provide oversight to ensure the timely completion of monthly closings. Applicants for the AVP Financial Reporting position at the company should have a strong background in financial reporting, with a focus on US GAAP. The role requires the establishment and maintenance of effective internal controls over financial reporting, as well as the ability to support business initiatives and ensure compliance with accounting and reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading and coordinating financial reporting activities, and be adept at preparing ad-hoc analyses and resolving discrepancies. A proactive approach to identifying enhancement opportunities in closing processes and recommending practical solutions is also essential.
