The Pocono Mountain School District wishes to inform you of the following posted vacancy for the 2026-2027 school year.

Job Description

Candidates must hold or be eligible for a Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate in the appropriate area. The selected candidate will provide evidence of a strong academic record, excellent educational references and related experience, be able to demonstrate knowledge of current educational research, and successfully complete a series of interviews along with meeting all local requirements.

Only complete application packets will be considered. A complete packet for external applicants includes:

• PA Standard Teaching Application;
• Letter of Interest;
• Resume;
• Three current Letters of Recommendation (within one year);
• Copy of Teaching Certificate;
• Copy of college/university transcripts.

Internal candidates (FULL-TIME PMSD EMPLOYEES) need only submit a current resume and letter of interest electronically to Dr. Courtney Burrus, Chief Human Resources Officer, via the applicant system to be considered complete.

Additionally, Internal candidates have the OPTION to provide additional supporting documents in the application system as noted below:

• Three current Letters of Recommendation (within one year);
• Copy of Teaching Certificate;
• Copy of college/university transcripts.

PMSD SUBSTITUTES MUST COMPLETE THE FULL APPLICATION.

The successful candidate will be required to provide the following documents: Act 34 PSP Criminal Record Check, Act 114 FBI Criminal History Check, Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance, and the Act 24/82 PDE 6004 form.
