Description

24 hour per week Day Shift Job Summary: Administers, directs, and coordinates inter- and intra-departmental activities. Work is performed in accordance with Kentucky regulations for Registered Nurses, established hospital standards, nursing department/unit structure, process and outcome standards, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and the philosophy, goals and objectives of the hospital, nursing and education services.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or compact state license required.
• BLS required.
• ACLS is required within 3 months, not to exceed 6 months from date of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification required 3 months from date of hire.
• Avade workplace violence prevention training (Level III) required after hire or transfer, not to exceed 3 months, and maintained annually. Training provided in-house.

Experience: No experience required for part time and full time employees. Prefer at least 2 years Med/Surg experience.
