Overview Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible for delivering competent nursing care using the nursing process. The RN performs assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation. Professional performance standards include ethics, cultural congruence, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, research, quality improvement, resource utilization, and environmental health.
