Account Manager - Infectious Disease Diagnostics - SC
Abbott
Abbott seeks a Key Account Manager for infectious disease diagnostics in South Carolina to drive growth and revenue across hospital networks, laboratories, and urgent care settings. The role involves managing strategic accounts, building customer relationships, and selling rapid and molecular diagnostic solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with existing customers to drive satisfaction and account retention
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow customer base and achieve annual revenue targets
- Identify operational improvements and optimize reagent utilization to expand product adoption with customers
- Manage sales process using SFDC, Power BI, and analytics tools to support forecasting and decision-making
- Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and renewal planning while managing distributor relationships
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 4 years medical sales experience, preferably diagnostics
- Experience working with distribution partners
- Willingness to travel 4 days/week within territory with ~35% overnight travel
- Deep knowledge of laboratory and point-of-care clinical settings
- Strong financial analysis and healthcare market data skills
- Demonstrated complex selling and contract negotiation experience
