Cytotechnologist (Day Shift)

New York State Licensed CytotechnologistLighthouse Lab Services is partnering with a leading hospital system in the White Plains, NY area to recruit a New York State Licensed Cytotechnologist for a per diem opportunity. This role is ideal for an experienced Cytotechnologist seeking a flexible schedule while working in a high-quality hospital laboratory committed to exceptional patient care.ResponsibilitiesScreen and evaluate gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens in accordance with established laboratory standards.Identify and accurately classify abnormal cellular findings.Prepare cases for pathologist review and collaborate on complex or challenging specimens.Perform quality assurance and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.Accurately document findings in the laboratory information system (LIS).Maintain competency with current cytology techniques, instrumentation, and laboratory best practices.Support daily laboratory operations while maintaining productivity and diagnostic accuracy.Participate in continuing education and departmental quality initiatives as needed.QualificationsCurrent New York State Cytotechnologist License (Required)Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or a related life science field.Completion of an accredited Cytotechnology training program.ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) certification preferred.Previous experience in a hospital or high-volume laboratory setting is strongly preferred.Excellent microscopic evaluation and diagnostic skills.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with pathologists and laboratory staff.SchedulePer DiemMonday–FridayCandidates must have flexible availability between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PMHours will vary based on departmental needsWhy Apply?Pay Range: $52.42 - $67.62Flexible per diem schedulingOpportunity to work with a respected hospital laboratoryCollaborative, patient-focused team environmentState-of-the-art laboratory technologyCompetitive hourly compensationPotential for ongoing per diem assignmentsIf you're a New York State Licensed Cytotechnologist looking for a flexible per diem opportunity in the White Plains area, Lighthouse Lab Services would love to connect with you to discuss this confidential opportunity.At Lighthouse Lab Services, we offer solutions to help start, grow, and run clinical laboratories.
