A significant portion of our patient population is Spanish-speaking, and we're seeking a skilled, compassionate Bilingual Medical Assistant to help us deliver the same high standard of care to every patient who walks through our doors. Role Overview This is a full-time, on-site position supporting both the clinical and administrative sides of the practice. You'll prep patients, take vitals, manage records, coordinate scheduling, and serve as a key communication bridge for our Spanish-speaking patients — interpreting during exams, explaining treatment plans, and helping patients feel understood and cared for from check-in to discharge. Key Responsibilities Provide verbal interpretation between providers and Spanish-speaking patients during exams, treatments, and follow-up discussions Assist providers with exams, treatments, and procedures Take and record vital signs and patient histories in the EHR Prepare exam rooms and ensure equipment is sanitized and stocked Administer medications and injections per provider instructions Collect specimens and perform basic lab tests Educate patients (in English and Spanish) on follow-up care and treatment plans Schedule appointments and help manage clinic flow Answer phone calls in English and Spanish, relay messages appropriately Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards Support front office tasks as needed Qualifications Required: Verbal fluency in both English and Spanish Comfort interpreting clinical conversations accurately and professionally Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Attention to detail and commitment to patient care Preferred: Written Spanish proficiency (for translating patient materials and messages) Previous experience in a healthcare setting Proficiency in EHR systems Familiarity with personal injury or workers' comp workflows Medical interpreter certification (CMI, CHI, or equivalent) What We Offer Competitive pay (with consideration for bilingual skill set) Opportunities for growth and development Supportive, close-knit team environment A mission-driven workplace where your work matters A culture that values compassion, integrity, and excellence Our Culture MedPlexMD Injury isn't your average clinic.
