is an integral member of the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), responsible for coordinating and sustaining a strong hospice volunteer program that supports high‑quality patient care. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, builds rapport easily, communicates effectively, and is highly organized. Comfort discussing topics related to death and dying is essential. Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in a relevant field such as human services, nursing, counseling, social work, healthcare administration, education, or another related discipline;

200+ hospice volunteers Participate as a member of the

Hospice Interdisciplinary Team (IDT)

and serve as a communication link and resource between the IDT and hospice volunteers Assess volunteer service needs for hospice clients and families and match volunteers appropriately Maintain accurate volunteer records, including documentation of volunteer services provided to clients Plan and coordinate volunteer recognition events Serve as a program liaison and representative to community, state, and national organizations and programs Serve on the volunteer committee Assist with hospice and volunteer educational programs Produce and distribute volunteer communications on a regular basis Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor
