You'll safely navigate the highway and city streets, back into tight docks, and unload with precision. The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers. /n Key Responsibilities /n /n - Safe Driving: Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner. /n - Unloading: Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas – 100% touch freight. /n - Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures. /n - Customer Service: Provide professional service to enhance customer experience. /n - Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards. /n - Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable. /n - Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management. /n /n /n Physical Requirements /n /n - Lift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80 lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required. /n - Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10 per shift) required. /n - Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees. /n - Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects. Frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity. /n /n /n Qualifications /n /n - Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse* /n - Must be at least 21 years of age. /n - Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications. /n - Minimum 6-months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR 3-months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required. /n - Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations. /n - Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records. /n /n /n About US FOODS® /n Click here to learn more! /n /n *Registering to the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a requirement by the Department of Transportation.
