Local Truck Driver

Via Paving

Job Description

Via Paving is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to support asphalt paving operations. This role is responsible for safely transporting asphalt, materials, and equipment to and from job sites while coordinating closely with paving crews to maintain production flow.

The ideal candidate understands paving logistics, takes pride in safe driving, and works well in a fast paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate dump trucks and haul asphalt and materials to job sites
Maintain proper timing and coordination with the paving crew and plant
Perform daily pre trip and post trip inspections
Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of assigned truck
Assist with loading and unloading materials as required
Follow all company safety policies, traffic control procedures, and job site rules
Communicate proactively with dispatch, foremen, and plant personnel

Required Qualifications

Valid CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience driving in a construction or paving environment
Strong understanding of job site safety and traffic awareness
Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
US Citizen or work VISA

Preferred Qualifications

Experience hauling hot mix asphalt
Experience backing and dumping into a paver hopper
Experience on commercial, industrial, or municipal projects
