Technology Engineer (JAVA/.NET)

As a Technology Engineer within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Birmingham, AL; Dallas, TX or Lakewood, CO

Key Responsibilities:
-Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java (Spring Boot) and/or .NET (.NET Core, ASP.NET).
-Build scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven services supporting high-volume business transactions.
-Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
-Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to integrate security requirements into solution designs and development standards.
-Develop and implement security controls for authentication, authorization, encryption, secure communications, and data protection.
-Participate in code reviews with a focus on security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
-Support production issue analysis, incident response activities, and root cause investigations related to application security events.
-Promote adoption of DevSecOps practices and security automation within CI/CD pipelines.


Qualifications:
-Understanding of secure coding principles and common application security vulnerabilities.
-Experience with enterprise application architectures, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native development.
-Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, CWE classifications, and vulnerability remediation techniques.
-Experience performing secure code reviews and analyzing security scan results.
-Experience working within Agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

• Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions. Assists with selecting appropriate platforms, integrates and configures solutions.
• Develops software components and hardware for new and emerging technology projects; aligns these with business strategies and objectives.
• May provide consultation on common issues and best practices for junior staff.
• Provides a systematic analysis on client requirements within the traceability framework and resolves any functional problems encountered.
• Ensures quality of project deliverables while maintaining compliance with relevant standards and processes.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $86,250.00 – $158,125.00Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
