Weekend Shift Cable Assembly Technician – Leidos Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronic Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Weekend Shift Cable Assembly Technician to support cable construction for commercial and DoD programs. The technician will build cables according to engineering drawings and work instructions, perform basic testing, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies. Primary Responsibilities Build, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies. Use tools such as strippers, crimpers, and solder irons for cable manufacturing. Interpret engineer drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications. Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and other technicians to develop strategies and identify potential assembly issues. Perform basic troubleshooting to locate faults in signal and connectivity. Basic Qualifications High School diploma or GED with 3‑5 years of cable building and/or electrical/mechanical assembly experience. Working knowledge of specialized tools and equipment used during cable assembly. Must be a U.S. citizen and possess (or be eligible to obtain) Final Secret Clearance or a Secret Clearance. Weekend shift position Friday–Sunday; regular attendance required. Preferred Qualifications Current or prior certification in IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 with Space addendum. Current or prior certification in J‑STD‑001. Ability to test cable assemblies for continuity, isolation, insulation resistance, and insertion loss. Benefits Pay range: $50,700.00 – $91,650.00.
