Attend internal kickoff/design meetings and meetings with owners/clients/architects as needed; document decisions and action items. Coordinate with authorities, utilities, and municipalities to incorporate construction, code, and government requirements. Assist with discipline manhour budgets; plan work to schedule and report progress, risks, and needed changes to the project manager. Perform studies, load calculations, and equipment selection appropriate to the project design; review work for technical accuracy before QA/QC. Respond to contractor and supplier questions during bid and construction; review shop drawings and submittals. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and observe installed construction; comment based on design specifications, owner expectations, and codes. Maintain detailed records of communications with clients, contractors, vendors, and team members; contribute to lessons learned. Support training and mentoring of designers and EITs; maintain continuous learning on codes, software, and industry trends; assist PMs as needed.
