Job Title: Quality Specialist Duration: 5-Month Contract (Potential Extension) Shift: First Shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Quality Specialist to support day-to-day material management operations and provide critical support during a temporary resource gap within the engineering organization. This role will focus on material handling, inventory coordination, administrative tracking, and quality-focused support activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable to changing priorities, and possesses a strong quality mindset. Key Responsibilities Locate, identify, and retrieve materials to support operational and engineering needs. Accurately label, sort, organize, and track materials throughout the facility. Record and maintain material movement and inventory data within company systems. Coordinate activities and communicate effectively with other Material Handlers and cross-functional teams. Perform administrative tasks related to material management, inventory tracking, and documentation. Support engineering teams by assisting with investigations and helping identify potential root causes of material-related issues. Ensure materials are properly documented and available to support production, testing, and engineering activities. Utilize Quest and other internal systems to maintain accurate records and support workflow requirements. Follow established quality procedures and promote compliance with company standards. Adapt to changing priorities and assist with additional material handling responsibilities as business needs evolve. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. 3-5 years of experience in material handling, inventory control, warehouse operations, manufacturing support, or a related field. Experience with inventory management, material tracking, labeling, and documentation. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Comfortable performing administrative and computer-based tasks. Basic experience working within inventory or tracking software systems. Preferred Qualifications Background in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or a regulated manufacturing environment. Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices (GDP/GDMP). Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or technical operations teams. Experience using Quest or similar inventory/material management systems. Physical Requirements Must be ambulatory and capable of moving throughout the facility for extended periods. Ability to lift, move, organize, and transport materials in accordance with company safety guidelines. Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching may be required. Desired Soft Skills Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Ability to quickly shift gears and support changing operational needs. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Problem-solving mindset with a focus on quality and continuous improvement. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys balancing material handling responsibilities with administrative coordination while supporting engineering and operational teams.
