Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to join our team in Warner Robins, GA. The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, delivering exceptional customer service while performing high-quality blood collection procedures. This role is responsible for collecting blood specimens, processing samples, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with established laboratory procedures and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric blood collections accurately and safely.
• Collect, label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures.
• Verify patient identity and demographic information before specimen collection.
• Obtain patient initials/signatures after venipuncture to confirm specimen labeling accuracy.
• Maintain specimen integrity throughout collection, handling, and transportation.
• Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection as required.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
• Provide excellent patient care while explaining collection procedures and addressing patient concerns.
• Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Support multiple Patient Service Centers (PSC) and physician office locations when needed.
• Work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Promote a positive image with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required.
• Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Strong venipuncture and specimen processing skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer and data entry proficiency.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume clinical environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required only in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• Minimum 2 years of Patient Service Center (PSC) experience.
• Previous customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment.

Additional Requirements

• Flexible to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts based on business needs.
• Willingness to travel between Patient Service Centers and physician office locations with minimal notice.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license if travel is required.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and follow established policies and procedures.
• Training location may vary based on trainer availability.
