Exciting Opportunity for a Pathology Assistant!

Job Description:

- Position : Pathology Assistant
- Shift : 8-Hour Days
- Locations : Main Ruby, Children's, or Innovation Corp
- Start Time : Varies between 0730 to 0900

Key Responsibilities:

- Gross simple and complex tissue specimens with precision.
- Engage in handling and cutting approximately 5-10 frozen sections per day.
- Collaborate with residents and PAs to ensure high-quality results.

Qualifications:

- Certification : Required ASCP Certification as a Pathologist's Assistant.
- Education : Bachelor's Degree; completion of Pathologists' Assistant program preferred.
- Experience :
- 1 year of relevant experience in an academic medical center preferred.
- Familiarity with Epic Beaker AP and voice recognition programs is a plus.

Technical Skills:

- Proficient with the following equipment:
- Epic
- Cryostat
- Bone saw
- Scalpels/Knives

Additional Information:

- Census : Average of 160 cases/day and ~700 blocks/day.
- Work Environment : Fast-paced setting with a focus on high-level pathology.
