Clinical Nurse Coordinator Free Standing ER

Mission Hospital

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient‑centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit or department during the designated shift. The CNC collaborates with the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, acting as a resource for staff and modeling the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes. Responsibilities Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient‑centered care. Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit in collaboration with the management team. Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to foster teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service. Supports a patient‑first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary. Operationalizes current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives to improve engagement. Recommends and implements actions related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; oversees conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Assists with staff scheduling and manages practical aspects of staff labor according to patient care needs and established productivity guidelines. Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate required within 90 days of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certificate required within 30 days of employment start date. Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) required within 1 year of employment start date. NIH Stroke Scale certificate required within 90 days of employment start date. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificate required within 90 days of employment start date. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certificate required within 90 days of employment start date. PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certificate required within 90 days of employment start date. STABLE certificate required within 90 days of employment start date. Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certificate required within 1 year of employment start date. Registered Nurse (RN) license. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree. Benefits Comprehensive medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, behavioral health, and telemedicine services.
