Phlebotomist - Rover

Overview LabCorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, helping healthcare providers, researchers, and patients make informed decisions that advance care. LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Carbondale and Carterville, Illinois. Work Schedule Monday - Friday 8:00am - 12:00pm in Carbondale; 1:00pm - 5:00pm in Carterville. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Phlebotomist will work in client offices and be the face of the company. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent. 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience. Must be at least 21 years old. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation and flexibility to work overtime as needed. Preferred Qualifications 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience in an outpatient lab environment. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency. Additional Job Standards Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test. Pay Range $17.75 - $23.00 per hour. Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible for all benefits except PTO or FTO.
