About the Role:

The Transportation Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the daily operations of transportation activities within the organization to ensure efficient, safe, and timely delivery of goods and services. This position is responsible for coordinating schedules, managing transportation staff, and maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations. The supervisor will work closely with logistics, warehouse, and customer service teams to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve overall service quality. Additionally, the role involves monitoring vehicle maintenance, handling incident reports, and implementing safety protocols to minimize risks. Ultimately, the Transportation Supervisor ensures that all transportation functions align with company goals and customer expectations, contributing to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, including DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing a diverse fleet including commercial vehicles.
• Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and route optimization software.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage conflict effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily transportation operations, including route planning and driver assignments.
• Manage and support transportation staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs to ensure fleet reliability and safety.
• Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to optimize delivery schedules and improve operational efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve transportation-related incidents or delays promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including driver logs, vehicle inspections, and incident reports.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to reduce accidents and promote a culture of safety among staff.
