Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of IR experience and current ARRT-R certification.

Details

• Work in the Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures department
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• On-call required with a 30 minute response time
• Charting completed in Epic

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology required (1 year accepted with neuro IR and scrub experience)
• ARRT-R certification required; ARRT-VI preferred
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• Scrub experience required
• Proficiency in venous access, central line care and maintenance, and vascular closure systems
• Experience with procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, IVC filter placement/removal, TIPS, and biopsy procedures
• Familiarity with fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, GE Innova IGS, and Siemens equipment
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Compact or LA license required at time of submission, license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include equipment setup, EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, room circulating, and prepping access sites
• Assist with a wide range of vascular, genitourinary, neurological, and abdominal/pelvic interventional procedures
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias
• Maintain and stock procedural equipment and supplies
• Orientation held five days per week
• Candidates must live more than 65 miles from the facility to be considered
• RTO must be finalized and discussed prior to offer to avoid rescindment
• Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a one-year separation before returning as a traveler
