Program Management Manager

Support Space Based Interceptor (SBI) as Design Manager for top Space Vehicle mechanical integration. Lead a team of engineers to develop flight configurations, detail engineering releases, and support production operations. Responsibilities Support the SBI Program Office in execution of the overall program. Maintain a clear understanding of the mission purpose. Develop partnering strategies with adjacent mission areas to enable go fast performance. Lead a team of approx 10 mechanical engineers. Work with adjacent teams/areas to ensure lower level products work in overall assembly. Drive the design to closure to meet program schedule needs. Coordinate with key teams (production, systems, PMO, subcontractors, etc) to identify and mitigate pending issues. Facilitate conversation between adjacent functions. Understand the technical requirements of the demonstration flights to enable risk reducing design choices as the configuration evolves. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline or equivalent education and experience. Experience in Engineering Development (SRR/PDR/CDR). Experience in support to production operations. Demonstrated team leadership or prior management experience. MCAD proficiency. Must be a US Citizen to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Desired Skills Experience Satellite or Missile Propulsion. Prior management experience. Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change. Risk and opportunity experience with an understanding of continuous improvement concepts. Experience in areas of cost analysis, schedule, and risk & opportunity management. Ability to navigate a diverse environment and build consensus across functional boundaries. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated leadership and initiative.
