NextStep Recruiting has partnered with a legal services organization to identify a Managing Attorney in St. Louis, MO. This role is onsite and will lead a team of attorneys while overseeing litigation operations, mentoring legal staff, and ensuring high-quality legal services.
This position is ideal for an attorney who enjoys leading others, developing talent, and balancing legal strategy with operational oversight. Whether you're looking to step into leadership or transition from private practice, this opportunity offers strong support, long-term stability, and no billable hour requirements.
Required:
- Experience with creditors' rights, collections, or civil litigation
- Active Missouri Bar license and Juris Doctor (JD)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing law
- Ability to lead, mentor, and develop attorneys and legal support staff
- Experience managing litigation, court appearances, and legal strategy
- Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
Preferred:
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Ability to manage attorney workloads and improve team performance
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Interest in process improvement and operational efficiency
