Shipping & Receiving Intern Responsibilities Include:

• Assist with receiving incoming shipments and verifying products against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Unload, inspect, and organize incoming inventory in designated warehouse locations.
• Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to warehouse leadership.
• Pick, pack, stage, and prepare outbound orders for shipment and delivery.
• Label and process shipments using warehouse management systems and shipping software.
• Verify order accuracy prior to shipment
• Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of received and shipped products.
• Support inventory organization and proper product storage.
• Maintain warehouse safety, cleanliness, and organization.
• Learn and assist with warehouse equipment operations as trained and authorized.
• Cross-train in various warehouse functions to gain exposure to shipping, receiving, inventory control, and distribution operations.
• Assist with special projects and other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
• Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service's DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.

Shipping & Receiving Intern Qualifications and Skills:

• Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a high school, technical school, college, or university program.
• Interest in logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, or business-related fields.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation.
• Consistent work history and attendance record.
• Must meet company background check and drug screen requirements.

Shipping & Receiving Intern Working Conditions and Physical Demands Include:

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout the warehouse throughout the workday.
