Gastroenterology Physician Location: York, PA Job Type: Locum Tenens Overview WellSpan Health is seeking a Gastroenterologist for ongoing inpatient hospital coverage in York, PA. Coverage includes emergency GI procedures and night call coverage in a hospital-based practice setting. Schedule 10-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Night call required Coverage dates: 6/15 7/26 9/1 9/28 10/1 Ongoing coverage available Approximately 1 week/month plus weekends Practice Details Setting: Hospital EMR: Epic Hospital Size: 593 beds Patient Population: Adults (18+) Anesthesiology onsite No outpatient procedures Emergency procedures only Patient Volume Total census: 30–50 New consults: 9–16 per day Procedures General GI procedures Endoscopy coverage Emergency GI procedures No ERCP No EUS APP Support APPs assist with consults and follow-ups Physician discusses patient management with APP team Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology Active Pennsylvania License – Required DEA – Required Minimum 1 year experience required Credentialing Approximately 90 days Temporary privileges available with a clean file #J-18808-Ljbffr Locumpedia
