Position Summary:

• Archbishop Moeller is an all-male, Catholic high school (grades 9-12) located in Cincinnati, OH. Founded by the Marianist order of Priests and Brothers, Moeller is a Catholic high school in the Marianist tradition. • The Facility Maintenance and Grounds Technician is responsible for supporting and maintaining Archbishop Moeller High School's main campus buildings, its grounds and athletic fields (both on site and at the Moeller Athletic Complex). This position will assist in the daily operations pertaining to the overall care and safety of the campus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Building Maintenance

• Performs painting, carpentry, and limited masonry work.
  • Prepares surfaces and applies paint, stains, and varnishes.
  • Hangs and fits doors, repair locks and installs hardware.
  • Hangs shelves and other wall-mounted items. Moves and repairs furniture.
  • Assists in building, renovation, and remodeling projects as necessary.
• Performs minor plumbing maintenance.
  • Repair leaks in drains and faucets.
  • Unclogging drains.
  • Replacement/repair of defective fixtures.
• Performs minor electrical maintenance.
  • Replacement of wall switches, receptacles, light fixtures, ballasts, sockets, fuses, cords, door operators, and power cords.
• Performs minor repairs of equipment and food service appliances.
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.

Grounds Maintenance

• Ensure all exterior surfaces are maintained in a safe and attractive condition.
  • Provide perimeter campus weed control.
  • Mulch landscape beds.
  • Maintain synthetic turf fields.
  • Assist with snow and ice removal as needed.
  • Maintain athletic facilities for practices and games.
• May work alone or in teams as required. Contributes to team effort by welcoming new and different work requirements; exploring new opportunities to enhance the services of the division; helping others accomplish related job results as and where needed.
• This is a full-time position and benefits eligible, including medical, dental, 401 K, and much more.
• Some flexibility in schedule may be a possibility.

Education:


Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent.


Experience:


3-5 years of building maintenance and grounds related experience.

• Familiar with the use of equipment related to building and grounds maintenance activities.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams would be helpful.

Rate of pay may vary by experience level from $23-$26/hr and is eligible for overtime plus full benefits.

• Full-time, Monday-Friday, 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m., with occasional weekends, mornings, or evenings (scheduled or emergency).
