Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practice-Clinical/Psychiatric)

Job Title

Provide comprehensive mental health care to adult uniformed personnel within the National Capital Region.

Perform psychiatric intakes, evaluations, and prescribes medications.

Educate patients about medication risks, benefits, and side effects; monitors progress and efficacy

Coordinate with primary care and other providers for referrals, feedback, and ongoing care.

Maintain accurate records using computerized systems for documentation and coding.

Comply with Joint Commission standards, National Patient Safety goals, and other quality initiatives.

Participate in quality improvement systems and projects.

Provide on call coverage to Emergency Department and provide advanced practice nurse services to all military beneficiaries to include uniformed personnel and their families and military retirees.
