Description: The role is in an Emergency Room setting, caring for patients across various age groups including adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 265 visits, with patient ratios set at 4 patients per nurse. Temporary floating within the facility may be required based on scope of practice. Every other weekend work is expected. The traveler must be available to work a major holiday if it falls within the assignment period. If more than one major holiday occurs during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work a minimum of two. Compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time. Non-billable hours may be included for training and orientation purposes. Travelers are expected to have skills in arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, and management of dysrhythmias. Applicants will be considered based on their ability to manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and perform triage duties. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate competence in IV medication administration and isolation precautions.
