Associate Medical Physicist - Radiology Oncology

Associate Medical Physicist – Radiology Oncology Providence Health and Services – Santa Rosa, CA Reporting to the Chief Physicist, this position provides physics support for the Radiation Oncology department. Key responsibilities include weekly chart checking, acceptance testing and commissioning of therapy hardware, and calibration and quality assurance (QA) of therapy equipment. Required Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Medical Physics or related major or Ph.D. in Medical Physics or related major. Specialized training in dosimetric techniques, physics of treatment planning, and calibration of linear accelerators. National Medical Physicist – Therapeutic Certification from the American Board of Radiology obtained within five years of hire. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IMRT QA and HDR.
