Aluminum/Steel Welder

Location: Chester, PA

Salary/Rate: $18-24

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding techniques and materials
• Perform welding and fitting tasks using various methods such as FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) and stick welding
• Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to fabricate and assemble metal components
• Measure and inspect completed workpieces using precision instruments such as micrometers
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of welds by conducting visual inspections and performing necessary repairs or modifications
• Collaborate with team members to plan and prioritize work orders
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a welder/fitter or similar role
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including FCAW and stick welding
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment
• Ability to solder, weld, and fabricate sheet metal components
• Experience working with ductwork is highly desirable
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality workmanship
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
