About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 3+ years of current Medical Surgical experience required License: New Hampshire RN License or Compact Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS, Active American Heart Association ACLS Must-Have: Previous travel experience (at least 6 months) required Epic EMR experience required Traveler must have their own vehicle Description: Please ensure your traveler will not request shift accommodations during the interview. The traveler must be able to work the posted schedule as needed. Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified. Requests for time off after submission/interview will not be approved. No more than 5 days of time off will be accepted; less is better. Individuals residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered. Ability to formulate an individual plan of care is required. The nurse will revise the plan based on the patient's response to treatment. The overall plan for effectiveness will be evaluated. Coordinates and supervises patient care as necessary. Demonstrates the ability to organize and prioritize job functions. Utilizes assessment data to identify patient care needs. This includes patient education and discharge planning. Recognizes and reports abnormal assessment data. Incorporates findings into the plan of care and revises expected outcomes as necessary. Accurate and legible documentation of all patient care activities is essential. This includes wound assessment, patient care teaching, progress toward goals, and medication administration. The nurse will delegate tasks to healthcare team members appropriately. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5, with a possible 1:7 on nights. The patient population is pediatric to geriatric. The dress code allows for any color scrubs. Weekends and holidays may be required based on needs.
