Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent client in Romulus, MI within the Construction Industry.


HVAC Technician Job Summary:
The HVAC Technician will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems within the production of modular units. Works closely with other skilled trades in a fast-paced production facility to ensure all systems are functioning efficiently and meet quality standards.


Pay: $22-24/hour, based on experience


1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:30pm, with occasional overtime as needed.


Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with team members to interpret work orders, blueprints, and diagrams related to HVAC layout and installation.

• Installs, maintains, and repairs HVAC systems, including ductwork, thermostats, furnaces, air conditioners, and ventilation equipment.

• Tests HVAC systems and components to ensure proper functionality and compliance with specifications.

• Diagnoses mechanical and electrical faults for HVAC systems and performs timely repairs.

• Installs electrical components and wiring related to HVAC systems.

• Connects systems to fuel and water supply lines, air ducts, and other necessary components.

• Ensures compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

• Performs regular maintenance to improve system efficiency and longevity.

• Uses a variety of hand and power tools to complete tasks.

• Maintains and cleans tools and workspaces to ensure a safe and organized environment.

• Documents service and installation actions by completing records and reports.

• Ensures quality of work through inspections and testing.

• Regular and predictable attendance.

• Other duties as assigned by Management.

HVAC Technician Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or related field; HVAC certification or completion of an accredited HVAC training program required.

• Experience: Minimum of three years' experience in HVAC installation and repair; prior experience in modular or construction environments preferred.

• Certificates & Licenses: EPA Certification for refrigerant handling required; HVAC license preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• High attention to detail and commitment to safety.

• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.

• Knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and safety protocols.

• Capability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.

• Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team setting.
