Experience with a variety of ultrasound exams 2. Competence in patient care and ultrasound procedures Description: The position requires the ultrasound technician to float between units. Weekends are required for coverage from Friday to Sunday, with a potential change to Saturday to Monday for maternity leave coverage. The expected patient ratios are 1:1. No call is required for this role. This facility operates into a variety of general ultrasound exams, including outpatient appointments on weekends. The department will cover inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room case loads. There is a high volume of breast work, including biopsies. Candidates should be comfortable with performing ultrasound guided biopsies and various exams across different demographics, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Various respects of patient care will encompass baseline vascular assessments for emergency room patients. Additional duties may include managing equipment and ensuring quality care standards are met. The facility has multiple ultrasound rooms equipped with leading technology for comprehensive care. Travelers may be required to float to nearby facilities if necessary. Collaboration with other staff members is essential in the provision of patient care. All candidates must provide references covering the required experience timeframe during the compliance process prior to starting. Flexibility regarding scheduling and work commitments is necessary.
