About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Cybersecurity Risk Officer (CCRO) to join their team. The CCRO will be a senior executive responsible for providing comprehensive risk oversight of the organization's cybersecurity. This role is pivotal in serving as a second line of defense, ensuring effective risk management across cybersecurity, and supporting the institution's strategic objectives. The successful candidate will lead and implement cyber risk oversight, establish and manage cyber risk frameworks, and provide guidance on critical cybersecurity issues. Additionally, the CCRO will be involved in governance and oversight, risk assessments, continuous monitoring, and will serve as the primary risk point of contact with regulators on cyber risk matters. Applicants for the CCRO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an MBA preferred, and at least 15 years of experience in cybersecurity within a large financial institution. The role requires extensive knowledge of information security, cyber risk, and technology operations, as well as experience in managing people and leading high-performing teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of regulatory requirements for complex financial services organizations and be well-versed in risk management practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills are essential, as is the ability to interact with C-suite executives and board members. Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, or CPM are a plus, and experience with modern tools for measuring the effectiveness of technology and cyber controls is highly valued.
