Dental Hygienist

Ezra Medical Center is a multi-specialty healthcare center located in the heart of Boro Park, Brooklyn, NY. We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our team on a Full-Time or Part-Time basis. As a Dental Hygienist at Ezra Medical Center, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality preventative and therapeutic dental care to our patients. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to enhancing patients’ oral health through education and professional care. Key Responsibilities Oral Assessments: Conduct comprehensive oral evaluations to determine patients' dental needs, following industry regulations and guidelines. Radiographic Diagnostics: Take and develop digital and traditional x-rays as required. Preventative & Periodontal Care: Perform dental prophylaxis, apply sealants, and conduct periodontal charting, deep scaling, and root planing when necessary. Patient Education: Provide patients with instructions on proper oral hygiene, preventative care, and post-treatment guidelines. Clinical Documentation: Accurately record patient information in clinical charts and maintain detailed documentation. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dentist to provide seamless patient care and ensure the best treatment outcomes. Clinic Maintenance: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and infection-free workspace following standard safety protocols. Equipment Check: Verify that all dental equipment is in working order before seeing the first patient of the day; report any issues to the Dental Director. Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Dental Director. Qualifications Licensure: Current and active Dental Hygienist license in the State of New York (NY). Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to educate and guide patients on oral health practices. Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in dental software and digital charting. Professionalism: A professional appearance, strong work ethic, and commitment to patient care. Requirements: Meets all criteria for appointment/reappointment as a member of the dental staff.
