Senior EHS Specialist

Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist Key EHS role at a large, well-invested manufacturing site with strong leadership support and visibility. You’ll take ownership of site-wide safety programmes, influence culture on the ground, and play a direct role in driving compliance and continuous improvement. This is a hands‑on position with real autonomy, reporting into the EHS Director and acting as a critical second‑in‑command. Key Responsibilities Act as deputy to the EHS Director and support site EHS activity Develop and maintain EHS policies and procedures aligned with federal and state regulations Provide technical guidance on EHS matters and regulatory compliance Deliver training for employees and contractors (onboarding and ongoing) Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessme Lead incident investigations and support reporting and workers’ compensation process Support industrial hygiene programmes including respiratory and hearing protection Manage hazardous materials processes and safety data system Coordinate emergency response and support on‑site incidents Maintain EHS records, training data, and compliance documentation Support ISO 14001 and internal/external audit activity Drive continuous improvement and employee engagement in safety initiatives Experience & Skills Strong working knowledge of OSHA and industrial safety practices Experience with hazardous materials and waste management compliance Background within manufacturing or industrial environments Ability to run audits, investigations, and technical assessments Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement Track record of driving safety improvement Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field 5+ years EHS experience in an industrial setting Experience with industrial hygiene and regulatory compliance Additional Information Strong organisational and interpersonal skills Self‑starter who can operate independently Comfortable in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment Proficient in standard business tools (Excel, Word, Power) #J-18808-Ljbffr
