Job Description Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant (Part-Time) Grant Pet Hospital & Urgent Care is looking for a compassionate, motivated Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team! With 3 experienced veterinarians and a collaborative veterinary technician and veterinary assistant team, you'll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of procedures and medical cases. Position Details * Part-time (up to 28 hours per week) * Rotating Saturdays required * Pre-employment drug screen and background check required What You'll Do As an essential member of our medical team, you will: * Provide compassionate care for patients during routine, urgent, hospitalized, critical, and end-of-life cases * Safely and confidently handle pets of all sizes and temperaments * Assist veterinarians with routine and urgent care appointments. * Collect, prepare, and process laboratory samples for in-house diagnostics and outside reference laboratories * Place IV catheters and administer medications as directed * Assist with diagnostic imaging, including radiographs and ultrasound * Support anesthesia, surgery, dental procedures, and dental radiography * Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough medical records * Educate clients and partner with pet owners to provide the highest standard of care * Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment What We're Looking For We're searching for someone who is: * Passionate about providing outstanding patient care * A positive, dependable team player who enjoys collaborating with others * Calm and adaptable in a fast-paced environment * Eager to learn and continue growing professionally * Committed to creating an exceptional experience for both clients and patients * Able to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and teammates * Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple tasks Qualifications * Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Veterinary Assistant certification preferred * Previous veterinary clinical experience preferred * Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation * Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen * Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical demands of a busy veterinary hospital, including standing for extended periods, bending, kneeling, and reaching Why Join Grant Pet?
