Staff Accountant

Job TitleRequired Skills & Experience• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field • 2+ years of accounting experience with HUD experience OR 3-5 years of accounting experience without HUD experience • Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations • Accounts payable and accounts receivable experience • Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting software (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, Macros) • Experience with Microsoft 365Nice to Have Skills & Experience• Healthcare or nonprofit accounting experience • Experience supporting annual audits and variance analysisJob DescriptionThis individual will support the Housing division's accounting operations by maintaining accounts receivable records, processing rent invoices and accounts payable, posting journal entries, reconciling balance sheet and intercompany accounts, and assisting with month-end close activities. They will prepare financial reports, monitor variances, support annual audit requests, and partner closely with Housing leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements.
