Groundskeeper / Landscaper

GroundskeeperThe Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining, improving, and beautifying campus grounds, including lawns, athletic fields, landscaping, and hardscapes, to ensure a safe and attractive environment for students, faculty, and visitors. This role generally involves year-round, physically demanding, outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Sponsorship is not available for this position.Landscaping & Turf Management: Mowing, edging, and trimming lawns; planting, pruning, and caring for trees, shrubs, and flowers. Grounds Cleaning: Raking leaves, weeding, and clearing debris from sidewalks, parking lots, and walkways. Seasonal Maintenance: Removing snow and ice, spreading salt on walkways, and preparing for campus events. Equipment Operation: Operating and performing minor maintenance on mowers, tractors, blowers, chainsaws, and utility vehicles. Waste Management: Emptying campus trash and recycling containers. Safety & Compliance: Applying pesticides and herbicides according to safety regulations; reporting hazards to supervisors. Performing other duties as assigned.Required Experience 1 year of previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or a related field.
