Qualifications Experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a high-volume kitchen environment. Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic cooking techniques. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and kitchen staff. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds safely. Job Responsibilities Demonstrate proficiency in using knives to prepare ingredients with precision and efficiency. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all necessary ingredients and equipment are readily accessible. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as cooking various dishes and managing different orders at once. Prepare stations before service and restock ingredients and supplies throughout the shift to ensure smooth operations. Follow established recipes to prepare dish components accurately and consistently. Maintain consistency in food preparation by following approved recipes, portion sizes, and kitchen procedures. Assist in portioning and prepping ingredients for upcoming shifts to facilitate efficient workflow. Monitor product freshness and follow proper rotation procedures to maintain quality and minimize waste. Support kitchen operations by performing additional duties as required.
