Senior AI Backend Engineer (Psychology Stack)

Salary: $84,000 - 124,000 per year Requirements:

• Were looking for a mid-to-senior backend engineer with 5–8 years of experience shipping and operating production services.
• You should be comfortable with model-serving interfaces and data-heavy backends.
• This role is open to candidates based in the US, working remotely or in a hybrid arrangement.
• Experience with applied ML serving, psychometrics or behavioural data, or multi-tenant SaaS is a plus.

• Design and maintain our psychology and psychographic service layer, including feature derivation, persona models, scoring endpoints, and model-behaviour versioning.
• Ensure model outputs are trustworthy through validation, drift checks, reproducible runs, and audit trails explaining persona selections.
• Build inference and job orchestration, including queues, retries, and cost and latency controls.
• Work with our product and go-to-market teams to make psychographic outputs understandable to marketers.
• Take services from initial design through production and participate in on-call support, using Python, Postgres, queues, and APIs.
