Cardiac Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)

We are seeking a dedicated Cardiac Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) for a rewarding opportunity. This position requires a professional who can assist in complex cardiac procedures and is willing to be part of a dynamic surgical team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in chest exposure and closure during cardiac surgeries.
• Independently perform vein harvesting for Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts (CABGs).
• Support Da Vinci robotic cases as needed (experience preferred but not required).
• Scrub and circulate complex cardiac procedures including CABGs, structural heart cases (e.g., Bentall), minimally invasive techniques (e.g., Mini Aortic Valve Replacement), and heart failure procedures (e.g., Impella).
• Participate in heart transplant surgeries (experience preferred).

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac RNFA experience.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certification.
• Valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• CNOR certification is required.
• Telemetry experience is required.

This position offers flexible scheduling options within a primarily weekday framework, with shifts spanning from 7 AM to 7 PM and 11 AM to 11 PM, along with on-call responsibilities as needed.
