Your work may include: Reading, understanding and following the client’s Individual Support Plan (ISP), and reporting back to the IDD Program Specialist Supporting individuals with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal care (i.e. grooming, hygiene etc.), or transportation Encouraging participation in social and community activities – shopping, social events etc. Helping people achieve personal goals and celebrating progress Promoting choice, independence, and self‑advocacy Accurately documenting care, activities, and progress Communicating with team members to ensure consistent, quality support What you need High school diploma or equivalent; or completion of a state approved training program; or demonstrate skills and receive a passing score on a written competency test Successful background check and required in‑service trainings At least 18 years old Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance, inspection and registration Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients’ homes and communities Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact Sign‑on bonus details: $1,000 sign‑on bonus is valid for applicants effective 01/01/2025. Sign‑on bonus is paid in two increments: $500 is paid after the caregiver has worked 500 hours from the start date and another $500 is paid out after the caregiver has worked 1,000 hours from the start date. Caregiver must be active at the time of bonus payout and have a minimum of 85% electronic visit verification to receive the sign‑on bonus. Bonuses will be paid within 30 days of reaching eligibility. New caregivers as well as previous caregivers who have not worked for Help at Home within one year will be eligible for the bonus.
