Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown – Days

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 3 shifts per week including 3–4 weekend shifts per contract period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 16-bed Stroke and Brain Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Monitor and manage patients requiring telemetry and cardiac drip administration
• Utilize unit equipment including Welch Allyn VS Machines, Hoyer lift, Sarah Steady Lift, Bladder Scanner, and Doppler
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Float to other units as needed within areas of demonstrated competency per contract terms
• Deliver care aligned with stroke and neurological patient experience standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Missouri or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of PCU, stepdown, or IMC nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Demonstrated stroke experience and telemetry monitoring skills
• Experience managing cardiac drips

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Neurology nursing background or experience on a dedicated stroke unit
• Proficiency with basic dysrhythmia interpretation
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation platform
