Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg ICU

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med Surg ICU position. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients in a mixed unit, with a focus on medical, neuro surgery, and cardiovascular surgery patients.

Shift Details

• Shift: Nights
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 38
• Patient Ratios: 2/3: 1
• Equipment Used: CRRT, vents, hemodynamics
• EMR System: EPIC

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Years of Experience: 2+ years
• Float Requirements: Med Surg and Stepdown

Desired Skills and Experience

• CCRN/SCRN certification is preferred.
• Experience in open heart recovery and CRRT is a plus.

Patient Care Responsibilities

Registered Nurses in this role will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and must successfully pass a medication and math competency test prior to assuming medication administration duties. This assessment includes knowledge of actions and side effects of commonly used medications along with calculations regarding correct dosages and IV solutions. A minimum passing grade of 90% is required, with one opportunity for retake, as failure may lead to termination of employment.
