Registered Nurse RN Interventional Radiology

Overview Registered Nurse (RN) Interventional Radiology role focused on assisting procedures, monitoring patients, and supporting physicians to deliver high-quality care. The position involves setup and assistance during procedures, patient monitoring, and adherence to IV, medication, and sedation protocols. Responsibilities Assist with procedures as needed (e.g., abscess drainage, biopsy, consent for invasive procedures and follow-ups). Monitor patients with EKG when necessary. Administer medications and blood as ordered. Initiate saline locks and IVs according to protocol. Catheterize patients in the department as required. Monitor patients receiving IV sedation under the direct supervision of the Radiologist. Inform Radiologist/Technologist of any changes in patient condition. Qualifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. RN – Registered Nurse. Associate Degree (AA/AS). 2 years RN experience; Critical care experience in an acute care setting preferred.
