Electrician
Responsibilities
This off-shift Electrician position, located in Muskegon County, MI, is responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, instrumentation, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment used in production processes. The position plays a key role in ensuring reliable plant operations, equipment uptime, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Compensation and Benefits Package
- Base pay: up to $38.50 per hour

Job Roles
- Troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation used in production equipment and facility systems.
- Performs installation, inspection, and testing of electrical and electronic components to ensure proper functionality and compliance with standards.
- Diagnoses and resolves complex electrical and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Interprets electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to support troubleshooting and repair efforts.
- Conducts preventive maintenance and calibration of control systems, drives, and sensors.
- Collaborates with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to implement system upgrades and process improvements.
- Adheres to all electrical safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and compliance standards.
- Maintains detailed maintenance records and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Provides technical support and training to other maintenance and operations personnel as needed.
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, safety, and reliability.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Possess a minimum of one of the following:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master Electrician License
- Strong background in electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and controls
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and industrial automation systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement
