Activity and Event Assistant

Do you love planning events, connecting with people, and creating joyful experiences? Our senior living community is seeking a positive and energetic Activities Assistant to help bring our vibrant life enrichment program to life. • Assist in planning, organizing, and leading engaging daily activities and special events

• Support programs that promote physical, cognitive, social, and emotional well-being, including our Montessori-based programming “Thrive”.

• Encourage resident participation and build positive relationships with residents and families

• Prepare activity materials and maintain activity spaces

• Escort residents to and from activities as needed

• Document participation and contribute ideas to enhance programming

• Support holiday celebrations, themed events, and community outings

• Collaborate with other departments to create a vibrant community atmosphere

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 1 year of experience assisting with resident activities, event coordination, or group facilitation in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality

• Knowledge of dementia care basics and activity planning

• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Must obtain and maintain CPR certification within 30 days of hire

• Experience with volunteer coordination or community engagement programs
